Spring is here! Time to open your Bible and Study the Word of God!!!
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.”
Two weeks before the semester starts…August 25, 2015
“I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.”
“Your hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn Your commandments.”
Join us in prayer for the students who will attend our Fall 2015 semester. In the Philippines, or anywhere for that matter, deciding to attend Bible college is a life changing decision and one that is often met by spiritual warfare.
Please pray against any spiritual attacks, and for wisdom and financial provision for us and the students who we trust God will bring our way.
If you know of a recent high school graduate trying to make the all important choice on where to go for college, or anyone else, an aspiring pastor or ministry worker who would like to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus Christ by studying His Word, the Bible, you can encourage them to apply now, we are accepting applications!
The semester is coming to a close…May 29 is graduation day and we have the value of one in JR.
Only God can grow the fruit of righteousness through His Word. In the end, the question will be asked, “Were you faithful in the one I put in front of you?”
“What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?”
Only God can make a tree, what becomes of JR is up to Him.
As far as I can say, we did what we were called to do and are being poured unto Him the life and the truth that is found in His Word. The hope we have is that at the end of our life, we are welcomed with these words, “Well done good and faithful servant…”
What about you? at the end of the day, will you be found faithful?
Classes begin February 10 through May 23, 2015.
What do you do when you are in dire straits? A place we call “between a rock and a hard place.” When trying times hit you, when rain pours without letting up…do you? orrr…do you do?
How hard is it to figure this one out? Simply do not act. Never make a decision when cobwebs are in your mind. When we put things in our hands, the likelihood of making matters worst is highly probable.
Sit things out. Take slow, deep breaths. Allow your nerves to settle. Separate yourself from all forms of noises. You will be the wiser for it.
“Therefore, since these things cannot be denied, you ought to be quiet and do nothing rashly.” Acts 19:36
As hard as it can be at times, praying is the best weapon we can wield in times of doubt. To pray at all times is the one discipline we all tend to disregard but needs to be our best defense. Regardless of your situation, talking to God about your present chaos, confusion, struggle or whatever you find yourself into, is the best move to make.
“For this cause everyone who is godly shall pray to You, In a time when You may be found; Surely in a flood of great waters, They shall not come near him.” Psalm 32:6
Being still is not a usual affection for us. We come into this world expected to make noise. A newborn’s first encounter with the world is not a gentle welcome, but a slap on the butt. Crying is the first sign of life.
Noise becomes the norm. Action seems to be the answer for everything. The days of quiet strolls, leisurely walks in the park, weekend picnics with friends, Sundays with family, these are slowly coming to an end. Yet, it is in thoughtful exercises that our minds are sharpened. Being, is a lost art.
“…In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength. But you would not….” Isaiah 30:17
4. WAIT! Silently. God who began a good work in you will complete what He started. He doesn’t rush, He is the Owner of time. What is your hurry?
“My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.” Psalm 62:5
“My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.”
In Colossians 1, I learned that it is Jesus who presents us holy, blameless and above reproach before the Father. So therefore, all we get to do every morning is disciplining ourselves to offer our body parts alongside His presentation. God sees Jesus in us. Isn’t this the grandest truth!
I get to partake of God’s remembrance during the teachers’ devotional time after school at CLC everyday. He reveals much to me…to each one of us. The children are children, each one seeking attention. I am in awe that it was the way of the children with Jesus.
Do you remember how Jesus is always surrounded by children? How He reminds you and me that faith must needs be like that of little children. I am so humbled, and because I now know each one of these 4th, 5th, & 6th Graders by name, I get to call them by their first names.
His ahavah(love) and shalom(peace) towards me overwhelms me.
“Fear not for I have redeemed you, I have called you by name, you are mine.”
The Bible Study in Biñan got a kick start and I thank God so very much. I know it is an answered prayer…it just never occurred to me that I will be His sent one and that it would happen last Saturday (August 11). My honey needs to be here.
How beautiful it is to be discipling the family…my own brothers, their wives, their children and my own son partaking. Though my flesh suggests it is a toil to do, it is an hour drive is all from where I am staying, my Father tells me to go. He directs my steps continually.
Do place it in your hearts to pray for their “growing in His grace, being filled in the knowledge of His will, in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to lead a life worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God, and giving thanks to the Father who has qualified them to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.” Colossians 1
Miriam suggests I should just stay through Sunday so that I may be able to give them some of my time. I see the wisdom in it but I will take it one weekend at a time and trust God to direct my steps. All in His care. I surrendered in peace and let go of the original plan to stay close to Quezon City.
He says let’s go to Dasmariñas on weekdays, let’s go to Biñan on Saturdays, I will wait and see how He wants to handle my Sundays. I was really blessed to be visiting the Church of God in Jabez last Sunday. Do pray for what God has planned in as far as the role of this local church in seeing to the building of My Father’s House Bible College in Tagaytay City.
Lesson Learned: For it is God who is enabling you both to will and to work according to His good pleasure (purpose). Do everything without arguing and grumbling that you maybe as light and shining stars in the darkness.
“…that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.”
There is no other joy that can equal when our Heavenly Father uses me to be salt and light in this world we call life. To be privileged to share the beauty of sharing the Gospel of His love.

Today is a no school day. The rain hasn’t let up and the forecast for Friday is there will be 5 storms coming our way again. The flooded areas of Metro Manila seem to be pictures of third world countries, it is almost surreal for me to be here. I have no regrets but a simple and quiet joy knowing what is written in His book, “He who began a good work in me will be faithful to complete it”…I thank you Leilani for your encouragement to me, I got teary-eyed reading the E-card you sent to me today, which I didn’t get to open till 30 minutes ago…
Yesterday was a full day! It was delightful to get my feet wet teaching children again. I had thought that my children’s ministry days are over but not so according to my Father. It isn’t over until He says it is over! I was glad to step into it knowing it is He who had orchestrated the whole thing. You are right to say that He is preparing us for the “beyond what we can think, dream or imagine” dimension of His love. God is truly great!
We had the devotional study on 1Samuel4 last night in the house. It was so nice to be around the sisters who has the love for our Father. We shared so much that we perhaps have extended our usual time. I had offered them the opportunity to have a monthly women’s prayer sleep-over while God allows me to be here and I want to ask you if that will be alright with you. My heart goes out to sharing to them the value of intercessory prayer and I am hoping that they will truly be blessed to experience a life of prayer, for others more than themselves. Lyn did a wonderful lesson on the chapter. Susana did the prayer at the end and I volunteered to write the prayer requests and of course, I did share some ears of corn. I was blessed too much I didn’t take a shower!
I taught Filipino, can you believe it? Everything became a review for me as we learned about subjects, predicates, conjunctions and clauses. I had to ask them what the words in Tagalog are in the English language, so I can be sure about the lesson. It was a lot of fun and I got to teach, the 4th graders only, at least for now, how to pray in sign language. The 5th and 6th graders I did twice, so all together I had 5 classes with just a lunch break! Dear God, teachers need a lot of prayers for what they do….and a lot of them are having health issues…
Please be in prayer for the staff of Christianhood Learning Center in Dasmarinas, Cavite; for the whole of the Philippines that I may be used for His Glory and that we may go obediently where the Holy Spirit leads us during this rainy season of His grace.
